How to Holt it together

degree plastic elbow which would fit the stock elbow internally. The two
elbows make a 180, which I faced so that the end pointed behind the motor. I
then got some heater hose, probably 1/2 or 5/8", and routed it behind the
motor to the catch bottle, which on my RHD car, is mounted in the LH
"pocket" where the master cylinder might be on a LHD car. Since I also run a
cam cover breather, I have a T fitting where both breather hoses meet atop
the catch bottle. I then simply have one hose projecting from the t fitting
down into the bottle, nearly touching bottom. If you visit the "files"
section at the Egroups site and open my folder, the bottle is partly visible
in the engine bay pic. I am not sure what application this bottle originally
was for, it's just a plastic bottle marked "Tudor", with metal bracket. I
modified the cap to suit. I'm sure that some of the more knowledgable
listers can tell you just what this bottle is from. I may have a better pic
around here if that would help you.

I had a look at your engine bay picture and almost saw your bottle. If you
are using what I think then that plastic Tudor bottle is the reservoir for
the windshield washer fluid. If that is what you are using it should be
very generously sized for the application. I was expecting (or hoping for)
something a little smaller and more out of the way. What do you do for
washer fluid reservoir?

If you

Don,
I am using the bag/pump setup that was discussed here the other day.
I am not a total stickler for originality, but the stock bag is quite
economical in terms of space.
The Tudor bottle is not really that big, and for me it fits in that
space just right.
In any case, since under hood space is limited, I try to look at the
available space and choose ancillaries to suit.

Thanks for the offer. It sounds quite simple so I think I can come up with
something that will do the trick. If I don't do something more complicated
(like installing a catch pot) it sounds like all I need is a piece of tubing
long enough to extend to below the engine.

Heh, that's the windshield washing bottle! Any bicycle shop has nice
plastic bottles and plastic bottle holding racks that mount easily in
small corners down low to act as catch bottles for radiator and engine
breathers.

Chances are, the tudor bottle was the radiator overflow bottle... At least
that's what I have in my Elan...

from RD, and did use it for a rad overflow bottle for awhile. It seemed so
perfect for the catch bottle I needed that I changed its' purpose in life.
Current overflow bottle is from a Geo Prizm....
