Has anybody dealt with Mick Miller ?
Does he have a strange sense of humor or does he have too much
business that he can afford to be rude to customers ?
I've just been speaking to him on the phone, and found myself so
speachless I had to hang up.
I was in the process of buying a part ( ELan +2 4 speed gearbox
bracket ) when He asked if I needed a mounting rubber for the same. I
replied No, since I already have one. Mick enquired where I got it
from, I told him Paul Matty. His response was a very
aggressive "maybe you should get the rest of your parts from him too".
What can I say to that ?
except there's plenty of other parts suppliers in the UK who would be
glad of my money.
I would swear because thats how I feel right now.
Barry.

Barry,
I've notice the same affliction over here from time to time.
We have some doctors over here that might help him with his affliction.
Recommended is to cut that anal-optic nerve, you know the one that gives him
that sh*#%ty outlook on life. (sorry -- humor is hard to come by these
days)

I have had lots of dealings with Mick, and have found him most helpful and
knowledgeable. He is a relatively small dealer in a difficult market, and I
think that from his point of view, he gets upset if customers "cherry pick".
This means comparing prices, and getting the "loss leaders" from each
dealer. Of course, you and I do that daily from supermarkets etc, but I can
see his point of view if customer's pick his brians for snippets of
information, but don't return the compliment by buying their parts from him.
Overall, I like Mick, and I'm happy to do business with him.

I have had quite a few dealings with Mick Miller over the summer including
engine rebuild, replacement rear drive shafts (GKN CV system) and other
stuff. He is a bit "old school" but along with that comes an amicable man
who is a stickler for details - he likes to do things properly as it were.
I would say give him another try. Re: other parts suppliers he can be a bit
scathing if he thinks they dont produce quality stuff but I have not ever
heard that said of Paul Matty!
Give him the benefit of the doubt - I have found him helpful and he usually
attempts to save you money where he can.
