Robbins tops (hoods)

Has anyone had any recent experience with Robbins for replacement of S4 tops
(hoods)? Does it come with the proper Tenax fasteners? What about the
stiffeners that fit into the slot above the windscreen? Were you satisfied
with the quality/appearance? I plan to have it professionally installed.

Hi Tom
I got a top for my S4 from them 5 years ago and it had the tenax
fasteners and stiffeners, this was there "sunfast" canvas top. It is a nice
unit, the only problem was the rain gutters don't look even, one lays nearly
flat (like 40 degrees) while the other stands nearly vertical (80 degrees).
I got it through Sidney at Chelsea Auto top (I think that rhe name), he
advertises in Hemmings Motor News under Lotus parts. I paid $400.00 for the
top and $400.00 for the cover that hides the frame when the top is down.

Hi Guys,
I've recently replaced my hood on my S4 Sprint with one from Arnolds
Garage in Hampshire here in the UK. My previous hood, though excellent
(spare unused, came with car from PO) to look at, would never seal properly
@ the front - 55mph+ & it would lift. I tried various solutions including
thicker inserts to insert above the windscreen - none of which were totally
sucessful. Cost here, after VAT & Postage is about ?230.00 Arnolds state
they are imported from Canada, but I'm unsure as to the makers name. I
should add that now that its installed, 80+ mph is draught-free ! Doesn't
make the car any quitier though !!
Regards
Richard
