Elan takes on Cobra, E-Types and Griffiths at Croft

Here's another video - this one from my racing exploits in the summer up at Croft in August. It wasn't one of my best performances (although I should get extra points for my spin exits), but in my defence I didn't get a chance to back off the dampers when it rained, so the car was tricky to manage.
It does show just what an Elan can do against way more powerful cars though. Thanks to Doug (who was at Croft) for pushing me to publish the video. I didn't talk too much as I was having to concentrate pretty hard, so I added some written comments to the vid..
Enjoy if you like it, ignore it if you don't.

The car is built to FIA Appendix K GTS spec (see the topic on 26R replica / GTS car). It has lightweight shell, 26R chassis, FIA engine, straight cut box, salisbury diff etc. Weighs in at about 560kg dry (minimum for racing is 580kg) and has about 180 bhp and runs on Dunlop M CR65 historic racing tyres. It's a complete hoot!

Well done, Paul! I enjoyed watching that so thanks for posting.
I especially enjoyed the - rather brief! - views in that panoramic rear view mirror you have as you were leading. It looks like it was a fun race.

Superb, I love the way that the car only spins in complete circles be they 360? or 720? and you always get back on the power when its pointing in the right direction!
My sympathies to you over the gearbox and to the gearbox for what you are dealing it, I assume that its a dog box?
