Elan Race Car on eBay - AZ USA

PostPost by: stugilmour » Fri Dec 06, 2013 6:20 pm

Thought this might be of interest. Was curious about your thoughts on the roll cage design, what class it might run in? Anyone here own or know the car? Seems very cool to me, but have no knowledge or experience with racing these...

Is also being discussed on BaT here...

Cheers!

Ideal if you're 6 foot eight...

Stu,

You beat me to it, but I'll post the same observations here. I noticed that the cage is anchored by a cross brace high on the rear shock towers and that there appears to be a front strut brace that must be welded midpoint on the front towers. I was thinking those would add a lot of stiffness.

Well SVRA would be group 8

Don't like the chopped screen look myself.. & it rains too much in New York to be practical
