pre 65 race elan ID info please

Hi, not having raced for 20 years and having a mid life crisis...!! I'm thinking of building a race elan (GTS)-has anyone out there got an old wreck /incomplete S1 or S2 with an original chassis plate and V5 .Being a new member, can anyone please advise as to what one would expect to pay for an ID with or perhaps without the donor car. 10-15 years ago I was told ?5000 for a plate and log book although at the time a few elans for rebuild were available for about the same price.

i have a very early s1 elan restoration project. its virtualy complete with correct chassis plate and v5.
its a bourne body car fron june 1963.
