Lotus Elan

D-Mod's Elan champ once again!

PostPost by: memini55 » Fri Sep 02, 2011 7:46 pm

For anyone that has been following the D-Mod cars in the US, Mark Huffman has won the class for the nationals this years.
Yes I know his car is a highly modified Elan but still neat to see it still compete. He won by a very slim margin, .121 seconds over one of Del Longs builds driven by Jeff Cashmore. That one is a seven off shout.

Congrats to both!

Mark

Excellent! It's amazing to see 1st and 2nd really tromp 3rd on down through the rest of the field by a large margin. I'm a bit surprised the first Caterham is so far down. I'm sure its obvious but I don't follow Solo II very close.

Marks been around for a while playing with Elan's
from 2001

And this is his the latest winner, it may have had some more mods done since but it give you the idea of whats going on in Dmod.

Thank you Mark and Congratulation on getting an Elan back on top!

It was a good show between Mark and Jeff. Both great people ! Interesting rear air diffuser on Mark's
Elan on day one [ a slightly more open course than the slalom monster of day 2]. Had not seen that on the car before.

Man it was hot there !
