Christian,
Very nice pictures especially the orange one cause that's mine.
We spoke just shortly when the car was on the trailer, heading for Holland and you made pictures from the rims.
Do you perhaps have the email adress from Lajournade for me, I forgot to ask him for this.

Thank you very much and please keep up going with the good stuff at lotuselan.net

Cheers

Hi Bert ,
Happy for the forum you join. At last.
Your Orange is one of the nicest Elan on track . Jean-Pierre noticed that and allready on friday at diner had a word with me about her ...
I am sure that the presentation of your car and the report on that event will complete the following pictures ...

Christian,
Many thanks, been building a couple elans and I think this is the best one yet.

check out: www.ecurie67.eu there is the other elan I still do have and raced the last years.

I buildt this orange one last winter but compared to the yellow one, in general and like dijon, I'm still about 1.5 second of my old pace and think it will take me another couple of months to have the set up finalised and made perfect.
Than my laptimes can go down and below the previous yellow one.

So one little step back and after all 3 steps forward.

Quite happy with the car and get a lot of compliments but after a while there are only a few ways to buildt an elan the proper way.

Still doubting if I should make the bumpers also orange but that is something for the wintertime will be focussing for the rest of the season on the set up.

Next year we are again joining the L'age D'or with the entire national Dutch group of pre 1966 drivers, check out www.nkhtgt.nl

Great site is this by the way, keep up doing the good work and many thanks
Cheers

Bert,

I have always liked the contrast of the silver against the orange , I used it on the car below because I liked the contrast plus it reminded me of a beloved Leverda 750 SFC racing bike .....now fully off lotus content, sorry -

Christian great pictures, I love to see the turn out on tracks in your area . there are always plenty of elans ( by the way, I keep looking to see if one of my old elan race cars will show up....)

George
