Quaiffe do all sorts of goodies for the Elan 4 speed box. Give them a try.

The guy who formed Leason died about 5 years ago [ Haggis was his nickname ] and he was great. He made a car, the Haggispeed - a 7 clone many years before. He became involved with Jack Knight but this produced little and they went into recevership and he felt he was owed royalties from them. His box for the 2000E was a dog box similar to Quaiffe.
I now use Tran X straight cut, as I wanted a synchro box for road use, and this box is excellent and makes less noise than Quaiffe. However the ultimate is a Quaiffe straight cut dog in my opinion [ having had the clutch release fail at a race 4 weks ago I say this from the heart ]. But Tran X are 2/3 the price and offer very good sales support. They also do lsd's with various ramp agnles - 45/90 being my favourite.
