Creating GTS style car from a S2 - the restoration begins
Making progress - French Blue always strange under some lights, looking forwards to seeing it in the flesh.

Looking good David, mine is currently sitting in primer waiting for the weather to improve enough for me to be able to spray the colour coats. I also need to build a little home made booth too.
Did they use 2k direct gloss on yours or is it clear over base?

Thanks Chris.
Very pleased with how it has come together (wheels and chassis are not the final items!).

Thanks Graeme - will look great in BRG too.
The engine bay and boot lid are a match of the grey Bourne gelcoat (it looks a bit cream in the photo under artificial light), went black everywhere else, did think about body colour on the inside of the doors which looks cool, mine are black!
Black 26r wheels should set of it off nicely!

Exciting to see the S1 GTS today - suspension set up, body on, engine, gearbox and roll cage fitted - looks great, engine bay grey a little light for the correct Bourne car shade but at least I'l know it is mine!
Maybe 8-10 weeks from MOT, UK registration and a road going racer!!

I have not heard reference to Bourne cars having grey engine compartments before-is that what you meant? Would the grey have been more like the colour of your chassis? That is the colour I painted my chassis and engine bay and I really like it.
D'ya think that radiator is thick enough?
Edit: I just noticed "3BXV" in the background of one of your photos-serious company!
(Early semi-lightweight competition E Type-ex Mclaren I think)
