Episode 4 is now on iTunes.
Dave Vegher and I cover a lot of ground in this 4th episode. First off are some listener emails ? thank you! Next, Dave talks about obtaining, restoring and developing his 24 Hour of LeMans Chevron B36 2-Liter sports racer. We move on to discussing the origin and race development of BMW M12 engines, talk about an Alfa GTA engine in the shop, and many other current engine projects for the 2016 racing season.
Too much to cover Dave?s drive in the Vintage 24 Hours of LeMans this time around, so we?ll bring that to you soon!
Go to our Episodes page to listen, or subscribe to Vintage Racing Podcast on iTunes. Don?t forget to subscribe to our news posts by going to our web site, then head to the menu at left, and select Entries RSS.

Vintage Racing Podcast has made it to the New and Noteworthy section of iTunes - a very pleasant surprise!
Episode 7 was just uploaded today - Part 2 of my conversation with Ethan Shippert.
Also recorded, a great discussion with Dave Vegher about how he approaches performance street builds vs. race builds, and how to plan a fresh engine build.
Dave has been working hard behind the scenes to hook me up with some of the Bay Area's top engine builders, race car preparers and builders, and vintage car restorers.
Please stop by soon.
Cheers,
Greg Tatarian

No Lotus content in this one, but Episode 8 was released a few days ago. Longtime Berkeley Alfa Romeo owner and enthusiast, and Alfa Bulletin Board moderator, Andrew Watry joins me for a phone conversation about his lifelong passion for cool cars from England, Germany, and not least, Italy. Andrew founded the Berlina Registry, and leads annual drives for that group. Andrew also shares his experiences with autocross, rallies, and more recently, vintage racing with the CSRG.
Two episodes to look for later this month: a long conversation with Phil Reilly of Phil Reilly and Company fame - see http://philreillycompany.com/ to be released on March 15, and a conversation with Dave Vegher at his shop (lots of Lotus Twin Cam content), to be released on March 25.
Cheers,
Greg

Our new episode with Phil Reilly has just been released. He is known not just around the U.S., but in the U.K. and Europe, and for good reason. Please head to our web site and check out some photos of special engines he has rebuilt, subscribe to our RSS feed for news posts, and download the latest episode to learn more about Phil and his company of 35 years - Phil Reilly and Company.

Hi Greg - just wanted to say thanks for letting us know about your podcast and web site. I've listened to the first six podcasts so far and have enjoyed them. I personally don't have experience on the track, but it's been interesting learning about all the different classes of racing that are out there and about some of the associated history from folks that have been deeply involved.

Thanks very much - appreciate your comments. I was hoping to make this podcast appeal to a wide spectrum of vintage car lovers - racers and non-racers alike. I am aiming for a good mix of topics and guests.
If you would like to send a couple photos of your Elan for our Listeners' Cars page - feel free!
Cheers,
Greg Tatarian

Greg, great job on the podcasts , they fill a void within our sport/hobby.
As a historic racer and British sport car enthusiast, I can relate to the content and like the direction your taking thus far.
Best wishes for continued success !

Thank you very much, John. I am hoping to get some short interviews at the race track in a couple of weeks during the CSRG David Love Memorial race. I have volunteered to be a safety technical inspector for the club for races at my home track, Sonoma Raceway, so hopefully at that time I'll be able to rope in a lot of future guests who can paint a nice picture of the sport past and present.
Thanks again for your comments, and please feel free to send me a couple of your race or street cars to include on our web site.
Cheers,
Greg Tatarian

The Phil Reilly podcast was great. He was a customer of ours at Cosworth and its good to see him get some recognition in the USA. There are a lot of guys like him out there that remain in the shadows keeping people and cars racing.
