Track preparing a +2?

My advice would be do not bother, in the end you will have car that will always we slower than a normal baby Elan and you will spend just as much money making it fast as you would a normal Elan. Racing is adictive and expensive. If you only intend to do a few hillclimbs keep the + 2 , fit a cage and the other saftey bits and have a bit of fun. Keep the rest standard and you will have a reliable fun car you can still use on the road. If you want to race buy a racing car, complete and competive in the formula you want to race in. Forget trying to make a +2 into a racing car, they never where in their day and are not competive at the sharp end now.
