Elan Roll Cage

I appear to have come over all dense at the moment. I’ve got a S4 Elan into which I want to fit a TTR/Safety Devices rear cage and side bars. The cage is out of homologation but the car is only for road use, it would be there for additional protection should it be needed! However, my denseness relates to the rear fixings. I don’t want to go hacking the interior of the car about incorrectly. If anyone has any images as to how the rear fixings go through the rear ‘bulkhead’ I should be obliged to see them or, alternatively, if anyone has similar fitted near where I am, would they mind if I came to look? I’m in Hastings.
Thanks for any help.

I have borrowed the attached picture from the TTR website.
Presumably you are talking about the blue bit. If so there is no cutting of the rear bulkhead. The only cutting is an access hole in the rear end of each sill.
Does that help?

You may not be able to move your seat all the way back with this roll bar. I've only seen 2 of them, but that was the case with both. One was mine. I took it out and made one to fit.

Alternatively you could fit the cage and change the seat to a nice pair of leather Exige seats.
They will need a purpose made sub-frame but are really comfy, they have a built in head restraint and sit snugly within the rear hoop (and I am 6'1")

All,
Thanks very much for your feedback, very helpful, but especial thanks to Graeme for inviting me to look at his cars. Got it sorted now.
Lotusfan, yes you were correct, it was the blue bits on the TTR diagram.
Bits, thanks for your offer, but being a road car I’m sticking with the rear/side options.
Webbslinger: being selfish, I’m a Colin Chapmanesque 5’8”(ish), so don’t need to push seat back too far. If I ever move the car on to someone taller, that person can choose whether they want the structure in or not.
Gav: some years ago I acquired a couple of lightweight Corbeau Elise seats for another project, and very reasonably. Hastings is the ‘seat’ of Corbeau Seats and, Colin Folwell the Governor, was always happy to help out local competitors.
Once again, thanks to you all.

Very impressed with the TTR full cage.
Is it a straightforward fit into the bodywork? I'd be interested to see what it looks like installed if you have any photos you could post.
Thanks

Hi Gav,
The car is in a state of rebuild so pics tricky, but if you go to:
https://m.facebook.com/SafetyDevicesIntl/
And scroll down quite a way to 14/12/2018 you'll see a video.
