More suspense than a good Hitchcock movie! And a perfect ending.

How's the Sprint?

I thought the Australian GP was exciting but that clip shows how boring F1 really is

That is the best in car footage I have seen in a long time. On the ragged edge all the way. Great find 8)

Fantastic racing. It was good to see how twitchy the Elan got in RH corners with the driver on the outside when driven on the limit, I felt right at home.

Very exciting! :)
I knew Boring Motor Wagons were wide but...
Looks like the driver would benefit from adjustable pedals (or shorter legs)?!

Well found Nigel! Brightened up a dull morning no end.

The wiper acted as a speedo needle - the faster the Elan, the higher it went. Fantastic!

I've always thought of the Elan as a four-wheeled motorbike-I'll bet the beemer thought he had that last corner covered...

Hi John!
the sprint has not long been taken off the road-been enjoying it too much!
Now that a cool spell has settled in I may get some work done to it!

Not quite in the same league but here is a little clip from last summer.

Lotus Elan vs White Van 8)

I was hoping to get out in the Elan this weekend but the weather forecast is not looking good  I will just have to live with fond memories until the weather finally clears.

Oh yes, at last a clip I can see as well :)
Gonna' get me one of those vans as daily transport & with a bed in the back for Holidays.
Good fun transport because all the other road users except for one or two Elan drivers treat you with the greatest respect

You can download the video using http://keepvid.com/. Just paste the youtube link into the box on the web page. It creates a .flv file, which can be played with vlc viewer - a search on google will give you a download for vlc. The flv is 22MBytes so I can't attach it here.

Awesome in car video, one of the best I have seen for awhile, so much for modern Bimmer technology... race tracks are great levelers aren't they, he sure had that twink singing.
Bloody ripper mate.

I loved it and so did my stepdaughter. She grew up in and around the Elan, and married an M3 owner, so it's personal for her. (M3 has since been replaced by a Maserati Spyder. Any Elan-Maserati videos out there? My son-in-law says the Elan wouldn't stand a chance; I say, depends on the course.)

I love the sound of a torque wrench in the morning. Sounds like... progress.

Isn't that the most wonderful sound!

Fantastic video! Proper racing!

Amazing how well sorted an Elan is! Out brake and corner a so-called modern supercar!

But I'm getting too old to be reminded of what racing is really like :(

Out for a spin in my, not-race-tuned, Elan now!!

Sigh....
