Plus 2 Drophead

Hello all, my first post.
I have a 1970 Elan Plus 2S drophead conversion that was done by Classic Transport in Hednesford England.
However after 17 years the top is getting a little ragged and faded and needs replacing. Because the top is "custom" none of the standard sources carry one. Further none seem willing to duplicate it even if I send the original to allow creation of a pattern.
I've written to all the trimmers in Wolverhampton and Christopher Neil (they also did a drophead conversion) and still haven't had much luck. I've also tried to track down Guy Griffiths who was the principle at Classic Transport to no avail.
Looking for suggestions where I might find a trimmer who'd be willing do duplicate tmy top and tonneau from the original?

Hi
Depends where you are- try Kew Coachtrimmers, 35a Cemetery Rd, Southport, Merseyside. This guy is quite used to working on Rolls, Jag E's, Cobras (real ones) etc. Not cheap, and not too quick either but a good trimmer.

Good quality product and they appear to do lots of hoods for many different cars, give them a try.......

Guy got out of lotuses when...........
He runs the VW place near Cannock now...
If you are local to the area... Dave Heydon in Wlasall Wood High Street is a good Trimmer and I'm sure he would knock up a hood from a pattern..

I'm in Canada now so I won't be able to drop in.
How would I get in touch with Dave Heydon?
Thanks!
