Hi Innes, I know this a reply to an old thread but thanks to a lost user name, I have had to join again and cannot message you yet. I bought a JPS Plus 2 just over 2 years ago and have started the restoration focussing on preserving the original chassis and the mechanicals: engine and gearbox rebuild, front suspension and I am now replacing the sill members. I am investigating the gold roof, my car has had a sunroof fitted and the roof painted black, no doubt to hide the tarnish.
Would you be kind enough to share the size of metalflake used and colour? Also the process used by Frank at Option 1? I believe that when refinishing a yellow base coat was used (what shade?) and then the metalflake added to the lacquer?

How is your car now?
