I think to stay with packing piece and Spinner is safer.
Many Years ago i used a 3 Leg Puller and it distorted the Hub. Plus the Hub still didn't move.
The shock and heat after worked.
I took the damaged Hub to work to get it repaired
That was more than 30 Years ago and i still remember the Lesson
