rear topmount seat belt plate

hi there, are the plates that hold the rearseat belt bracket on top of the s/absorber handed? i have tightened the right hand side up and there seems to be a gap on one side.i looked at the other plate which i have not fitted yet, and it seems to be at an angle, can anyone shed any light on this? ian.

The brackets are not handed, left and right should be identical and interchangeable. If yours look different one of them is bent - should not be a problem to straighten it but check it carefully for cracks before you fit it.
