4 1/2J Steel Wheels - Lotus Vs Spitfire

PostPost by: Esprit2 » Thu Jan 27, 2011 7:09 pm

What is the offset difference between the stock Lotus and Spitfire steel bolt-on wheels? Lotus is about +1 3/32" / +1.093" / +27.76mm. I believe the Spitfire wheel is closer to 19mm, but I don't have one to measure.

Thanks,
Tim Engel

Thanks rd,

I visited that site earlier but only read the chart. I now see the specs listed further down the page.

Offset:
Spitfire (website) ....... +0.88" ..... +22.00 mm
Probably..... + 7/8" ..... +0.875" ... +22.22 mm (designed in inches)
Lotus ....... +1 3/32" ... +1.093" ... +27.78 mm
Difference ..... 7/32" ..... 0.21875" ... 5.56 mm

Both Lotus & Spitfire are positive offset (ie, center web closer to outer face of rim).

Thanks,
Tim
