Fuel Tank Filter

PostPost by: Jack » Sat Sep 18, 2004 8:32 pm

Should the bolt holding the fuel pipe to the tank have a filter on it?
If not has anyone fitted one? I was thinking of fitting a small, say 1" tall filter with an open top. Bad Idea?

Thanks

Jack :)

Hello Jack, I'm not sure if I understand your question but if you're wondering if the fuel line coming out of the tank can use a filter, I say yes. I've a got small fuel filter about 4 inches into the line away from the tank, inside the trunk (boot) above the rear end unit. It's a little clear unit. Just make sure the clamps are tight, a fuel leak is very dangerous in fiberglass cars. Eric
