Aldon Ignitor

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if a Lucas gold sports coil is compatible with the aldon ignitor points replacement system. And.......does the tacho work with it.

Just Fitted an ALDEN ignition unit into my distributor. using a Lucas Gold Sports coil.On My S4. Tacho works fine .However i wasn't sure if i needed to open the plug gaps up. from the standard points settings. So i adjusted them to 25 thou. To try it .seems to start and run fine

I ran my old S3 S/E with an Aldon Ignitor, Gold Lucas coil, and NGK's at 25 thou. It ran perfectly for a year before I sold it, and I speak to the new owner quite regularly, and he has had no trouble. Made no difference to the tacho, it still worked ok.
Just fitting another to my earlier S3 S/E and junking the Lumenition.
I would highly recommend the Ignitor. My son runs one on his MGB and he has not had an ounce of bother with it in 3 years and 18000 miles, he runs it daily.
