As RichC says -
definitely hard plastic, with a grain (possible some kind of heated stamp used ?), was used for the crashpad.
The under dash edge trims are vinyl folded over neoprene/foam material and glued to a metal channel, which is screwed into the back of the dash. I had to recover the rear side panels and used the same vinyl for the under dash edges { I got the closest match I could, from Martrim in the UK, the new stuff is not as thick as the original). I also have some left over to do the panels which cover up the wiring/heater area (forward of the central console).
