Cast iron bellhousing modified to allow gearbox removal

I have for sale a cast iron bellhousing that was modified by Alan Henderson Racing( Lotus Cortina specialist) to allow the removal of the gearbox without having to remove the engine. Looking for £100 for the bellhousing as it is.
Apologies I forgot that it still requires the fixing kit from AHR to enable it to be used, I can get this at cost from him if required although when I spoke to him this morning he was not sure of the price as they have to be specially machined. If any one is interested I can chase him up for a price.

I usually removed them as a unit as I found it easier to do so, getting to the fiddly bits etc AND doing the "while I'm in there" thing but this was on Lotus Cortinas and have never split them on an Elan though I have on a Plus 2.

I think, it has been a while...

I assume that on the Elan it is an epidermis erosion event?

I have these adaptations on both a cast and an ali centre case.
I have to say I'd probably not bother next time and use a magnesium bellhousing ( which can't be machined for these changes).
It is a nicely engineered solution, though. Alan Henderson does make exceedingly good cases

Attached photographs of an ali bellhousing installed on my car and the inside of the cast iron bellhousing that has been machined but still requires a fixing kit from AHR.

The bellhousing to gearbox bolt holes are drilled out to have top hat sections installed which allow the bolts to be installed externally on 3 of them and internally with a hex socket through the cut out for the fourth bolt.
Spoke to Alan Henderson today and he reckons it takes approx 1 and a half hours to remove the gearbox with this modification.
