Paul -

Do you have more/better detailed photos? Which engine is this car equipped with?

Thanks!

Wow. 6 months to go from 3500 to 9500.

Sad for those looking to get into a Lotus, happy for those who own one, I quess.

The reality is, it's hard to put money/effort into a proper rebuild of a car that just won't return it to you in resale value. This is not only bad for owners/admirers of vintage Lotus' like us, but bad for the survival of these cars. It discourages quality restoration and encourages neglect/deferred maintenance, which in turn devalues the cars' esteem in the vintage car world. It's a vicious cycle.

Will watch this sale with interest. It would be nice to find out what the eventual selling price is.

In the meantime, owners of Elan Plus 2s unite!! Do not sell your car for less than top dollar/pound . . . blah, blah!!!

Actually was 3.5k to 19.5k originally. The company now offering are well known and worth a Google if you have any interest in the car at all.

Also another thread about this car somewhere on here.

Thanks for the update, Mr. Bell!

But I'm afraid I still don't understand. You're saying this company who now has the car originally listed it for $19,500?

There's a story here I'd like to hear :)

Yes that is what I remember. If you look at the ad they list it as an elan s4 do I think they misidentified it hence the crazy price.

Thought there was a post on here about it but haven't found it but only on my phone do haven't tried that hard.

The dealer has a bit of a reputation....
