Has anyone found a way to make the Centroid fuel sender CFG 12 in the direct
replacement fuel cell work with the Smiths gauge FG 2530/71 as used in the
series 1, 2 and early series 3. Bean says it should work but I have not had any
success.
Thank you Peter

If the wire was shorting to earth you would get a full reading on the
gauge, but I can't really see how it would happen from what you describe?
I dunno!

Whats the norm. for an S4 with Webers 40`s.I am getting about 18miles/imp. gal.just local runs no high speed or motorway use.
BTW re my posting recently on fuel tank sender units mine is NFG ,the gauge sat at full for ever then moved to half full where it sat for ever it then went quickly to empty ,it happened so quick I ran out of fuel ,I have been carring a can of petrol since the sender has been suspect so no big deal .
