a 1966 Elan Coupe Sr# 365178 . I really have no interest in the Lotus.
The original owner ordered the car with knock-on wheels & close ratio
transmission. This car has never been wrecked or damaged, and has been meticulously
maintained and has tremendous (rediculous) amounts of spares. The car is a
wonderful driver, everything works as it should. The 2nd owner has had the
motor rebuilt, Spyder frame (origional frame very good stored in attic), CV
axles, Tilton geared starter, Dave Bean, 2.25 adjustable coilover rear springs,
and suspension bushings installed, had the wheels sand blasted & recoated the
correct color & started on the rest of the car & lost interest. Some of the
Spares & parts are: a refinished wood dash, new windshield rear window and
trunk rubber, new complete set of gauges, 2 sets of front & rear lenses, 3 boxes
of engine gaskets, New pin drive Panasports with New Bridgestones mounted
(never on car- stickers on- new this year). Car` seats door pannels are very
good, dash cover good, but there is new dash cover, kick panels & carpet need
replacing, and car needs paint. As I said, the fiberglas has never had any
damage. I took pictures from under the car while on my lift and my interest is
learning its fair value as I was considering putting the car up for sale.
