Front Discs

PostPost by: john.p.clegg » Mon Feb 23, 2009 11:52 am

Just about to change the rear discs on my plus2 as they are knackered but looking into my stock of discs (2new front,2 new rear) it seems that the front discs are slightly smaller than the rears...measure as 9 5/8" as opposed to 10"
Does anyone have theirs off and can confirm the sizes before I start to remove them?...unable to measure mine in situ...

Thanks
John

P.S. also just noticed there are two types of handbrake tree and operating rods....maybe that is why some of us are happy with the handbrake and others not....

The rear discs are bigger diameter, but the area used is smaller.

Cleggie, if it any help I just looked in my Elan manual and the size given for the fronts is 9 1/8th so you should be safe with the 9 5/8ths ones!
