Returning to the well of Elan +2 knowledge-
Looking to re-chrome the window frames of my 1970 +2 Federal. Can the quarter lights be removed before removing the window frame?
Thanks

There is a screw in metal strip below the quater light that needs to removed first. The strip is probably corroded away if it has not been replaced at sometime.

You have to remove the whole frame first

Adding to above comments.
These are photos on my door frame, before removal and after Chroming and rebuild. Note its a 1968 +2
On the door you can see the fixing bolt has snapped that secures the quarter light.
