Oo how exciting. We have had our first small delivery of the proper period 165VR13 Cinturato CN36

there are more on the way, but i have a feeling the price will go up with the next batch. I think these are too cheap.

Are your wheels tuneless as standard? it isnt totally clear from my technical data.

The new Cinturato CN36 can be fitted tubeless or with tubes which ever suits, which is of course determined by your rims. do they have a safety rib?

Why would one pay your prices when Blockley tyres are at least £20 per wheel cheaper, and will be more so when your projected price increases...

I'd be interested to hear thoughts on the CN36 v XAS.

My current tyres are 7 years old, while only done a few thousand miles they are starting to firm up and lose grip, so starting to think about replacing them.I expect the XAS is a better tyre and personally I am not very keen on Perilli tryes but the pricing is quite attractive v XAS.

I didn't get around to publishing my thoughts, apologies.
I'm away at the moment but from memory it was 165 XAS, 155XAS, 175 CR6ZZ and a Pirelli on 5.5 revolution rims in an S4 bodyshell.
I went for the 155 XAS as best fit.
They were replacing Rain experts which were never confidence inspiring, although to be fair to them, I've corrected the geo too (had no toe in at the rear)

I am currently looking to change my Sprints old Dunlops (which I like) and have been going around in circles trying to decide if new Dunlops are the best replacements. ( I cant justify XAS prices)
If I want to go for a higher speed rating such as H all I seem to find is winter tyres in 155s
I have looked back in the archives and we have not discussed tyres for a while so wondered if any thing new and what are people using that they are happy with.
My Dunlop SP10s (155/80 R13) gave good grip and when they lost traction they did it progressively. So if no one can suggest anything better I will replace them with their latest which are "Street Response 2"

a reminder - a much better tyre nobody here ever talks about: yokohama A539; size: 175/60/13. almost as sticky as a semi slick, but better mileage and better in the wet! those other shitty tyres won't like 140 and more hp as most of us have: those profiles/tyres are 60 years old!!??!! ..........sandy my car would chew them up!

Yep the Borrani are pretty gorgeous. I had them on my yellow Elite. (I have just looked at our Elan page on Borrani and noticed that it offers a 13" wheel and a 15" tyre. I'll get that fixed)

Oo painted spokes and then a polished outer flange on the rim. Phwarr!

Just not good for an Elan. Wrong size. Too small in diameter and far too wide. they will not handle well on an Elan unless you turn it into a racing car, and then it is not as nice as a road car. they could have put low profile tyres on later Elan if they wanted, but they didn't.
