Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I will soon be starting an early '67 Elan Plus 2 restoration and would like to find replacement seat covers or at least similar material to re cover the original seats with. Are these available? Also, since I am converting RHD to LHD I'm curious to know if the RHD pedal box will work.

As far as I know, no one in the UK sells ready-made covers even for European Plus 2 seats. You might well have the high-backed “Federal” seats, so I’m certain you’ll have to buy suitable materials and get an upholsterer to make them for you. Aldridge Trimming in the UK can supply thermally welded perforated basket-weave vinyl. The plain grained vinyl should be easy to find.

According to the parts manual on the R D Enterprises US website, pedal boxes are universal RHD/LHD. Perhaps someone else here has some first-hand experience?

My seats are low backs from a '67 RHD. Maybe I'll give Eldridge a try. Thanks for your help!
