Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Anyone have any info on source to find out how many of a certain model +2 there are left? I am the owner of one of the all green met (no silver flake roof) press cars from around 1973/4 era, and was wondering how many of these cars are still alive. Probably a few will have been painted a different colour over the years. Just curious.

It's a bit hard to tell... A good start is the Lotus Elan Registry which has a lot records on the surviving cars. Registry notes that there are 340 Plus 2's recorded.

I'm sure there are plenty hiding in garages around the world.

Don't suppose I'm going to park next to a green one any time soon then?
Whether these show cars are worth any more than a basic one I would doubt. As long as the car looks good I don't really care much. Will see when it comes out of the spray shop.
