Vegetale/media blasting was used on the Bonnet of my 1976 TVR 3000M to stop damage to all the Curves.
Hand sanded on the Doors and Back to reduce the Waves in the grp.
If media Blasting is done by someone who tries different pressures and different medias the result is fantastic.
On the Classic TVRs there is no Gelcoat so on a lotus with Gelcoat i see no problem.

Saluki Bronze. My TVR Vixen is Saluki bronze. This is the color I was told his a match. I used dry blasting. I believe it was soda bicarbonate. The major work will be repairing the stress cracks and "smoothing" the body prior to paint.

I've scraped and sanded my +2 to the gel coat in preparation for a respray but there is a lot of crazing that needs proper finishing. I'll probably get Spyder or Option one to do it.

Talking to Spyder, they now blast the paint off and it's relatively cheap and easy so no really great savings for all my hard work!

Colours aside......nice picture of the 1600E.
I know exactly where that photo was taken too. Sandbanks Road in Poole.
I had a 1970 Amber gold 1600E - sold it to buy a Plus 2.
