Well, we made it. Chucking down all the way, not fun. Then got flashed down by a lorry, turns out the transporter?s rear lights are broken. What the ****? Turned the rear fog light on, then the Elan?s side lights.

You should see the wiring back there what a bodge. No wonder the lights don?t work. Indicators and brake lights ok though. Also, service light on the dashboard and brake warning light both on, which was explained as ?mechanic changed the brake pads but broke the sensor wire, and forgot to reset the service light?. Jeez! I shall gave a word or two to say when I get it back!

Anyway, here is the proof.

It?s already up on the ramp and the suspension?s apart. Hopefully it?ll go well...

Sounds more like `Listen with mother` to me. That is, if you are old enough.

Fixing the lights will give you something to do while you wait!
Or will get back in daylight now the clocks gone forwards?

OK guys - according to Wikipedia:
Listen with Mother ran on BBC from Jan 1950 to Oct 1982.
Watch with Mother ran from '53 to '73.

So amazingly Listen outlived Watch!
Making assumptions about our ages I expect Listen is our first and strongest memory.

Should I have started a new dotage reminiscence thread??

John,
You youngsters know nothing.
Come back when you have got some time in.
I'm on the edge of my seat here, waiting for news from Peterborough.
I hope we get an update and do not have to wait till the morning or I might not sleep.
Anyway shouldn't you be in the garage. I am expecting to see it at Tatton.
Cheers
Eric
