VAH 120H

VAH 120H was a Lotus press +2 used by the sales team. It was special because it was fitted with the ex-John Miles Lotus 47 165bhp Twin-Cam 1594cc dry sump Cosworth MkVIII engine.

It was apparently 'untouchable by E-types and many a fast Ferrari up to 130mph.'

Has anyone come across this car, in old photos, adverts or tests? The Norwich registration from 1968/9 is no longer listed by DVLA. I would suspect that the engine got taken out of the +2 for competition use again at some stage.

An interesting footnote of +2 history.

I was lucky enough to be taken for a test drive in a +2 fitted with the 185 bhp engine ( Zetec ) and it felt a lot faster than my old E-Type 3.8 fhc, albeit without the low-down pulling power of the Jag.
