Another tick in the box. My +2 passed it's MOT this morning. Enjoyed the 3 mile run to the MOT and back, certainly gets people's attention. Handbrake has to be 16% efficient, only just made it. The weight is 1090kg on the garage chart, is this correct for an early +2?
Anyway the work goes on, drivers door hinge, respray and interior.

Well done Les, nice to see another Elan in use. That is an early car, what is the Unit No?

Definitely not. A quick-n-dirty search turns up numbers in the 840-890 Kg range.

But in any case, glad to see another Plus 2 back on the road!

The chart in the garage was for an ELAN 2, silly me thought is was the +2 but it must be the jellymould Elan. Nothing on the chart for a +2 surprise surprise, my log book does not give the weight either. Basing the handbrake results on 890kg it passed no problem.
Hope it helps, Les
