Hi,

I have a 1970 elan +2 which needs a new steerling wheel. Does anyone know, or even better have a picture of, what it would have had originally.

I am considering this one on ebay, any opinions would be well received.

Thanks,

Graham.

Here's a good place to start regarding the original fitment [look for the pdf]

What you end up fitting may well be related to the size of your wallet.

Excellent, just what I was looking for, thanks a lot.

I don?t suppose you know the answer to the same question about the gear lever do you ?

I think the lever itself stayed the same (I may be hopelessly wrong on this), the knob changed a bit through the history of the +2, but I don't know what was fitted when.

this is from my +2 (pre-S). there's another part with an anti sizzle bush that fits on top of the gearbox and is bolted to the straight lower part. [I don't have a picture to hand] The collar supports the gaiter (square rubber bellows). These are currently with the platers.

Hi Tim,
my 130/5 wheel is leather rimmed but has no signature, is it engraved could it have been polished off.
