Shaun, I assume you may mean the boot lid rather than bonnet as there are no badges on the bonnet
I had to check you were not from across the pond though as those guys have different names for most things. Like they call the cills 'rockers' and the bonnet a hood. What a 'hoot' but then I wish we had a 'Hoots' cafe in the UK rather than a Big Mac.

EPC 394J. I emailed Shaun a link to this forums Wiki which has a +2s brochure.
This shows the position of the 3 badges re your photos.
It?s clear that the Elan +2 badge goes on the left side front wing, but it?s difficult to see which side of the rear wings the two small badges fit.
Could you please state which goes on the left and right rear wing.

You mean Hooters?
Yep, that was the full name, but the guys in the football team when we visited USA shortened it to Hoots as Hooters are noses in the UK. Or in keeping with the classic motoring theme...... the brass horns with a rubber ball at the back to squeeze that go Honk Honk
Back on thread........not quite sure if anyone has given enough detail yet if you are asking for dimensional positions or just the panel location of each badge but for the exact original position of the badges which should be easy at the rear at least, you could look at the inside of the fibreglass panel as you may still see signs of the original holes from the back.

On my Jan 1970 +2S the 63/65/68 World Champion badge is on the left (passenger side) and the S badge is on the right
Perhaps unsurprisingly, mine's the opposite!

That is a very interesting brochure and I do have an original print. What a beautiful car it is
I think the first page picture was taken at the front of Colin Chapman's home at the time as were several other brochures pictures I have too.
What makes this one most interesting to me is it actually has a 'black' nose badge.............now not wanting to start a war on the history of the black badge which was always denied as marketed on the Lotus by the late Mr G Arnold..

On my UK Spec +2S that I have had since 1980 and that left the factory December 1969, the Elan +2 badge is front wing passenger side as shown in the brochure (I have a nice original copy of the brochure which shows this clearly) and the S is rear wing passenger side as it appears in the brochure. Mine never had any badges on the drivers side!
As is often the case with Lotus I have seen variations of the rear badge(s) at shows but most often it seems to me the 'S' 'S130/4' and 'S130/5' badges have been passenger side rear wing for UK spec cars.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Eric
