I too have a faulty wiper motor. When Fitted in the +2 found there is no second speed and not parking, low speed is good. Motor is two speed 14w with a 125 deg gear. Tested on bench and first speed ok but no second speed, any ideas? I will dismantle, might just be broken wire.
Replacements are available, but some do not include the gear and arm assembly.

No parking shows that the contacts in the connector block are not shorting out the "slow" 85 Ohm coil.

as for the other problem ,it could be anything...

Well found the problem. Brush broken off paxalin board. So have a single speed motor. Is it worth to just re-assemble and part ex or buy new brush assembly and possibly park switch?

Glad you've got to the bottom of it Les.

Anyone got any thoughts about the replacement bearings I mentioned a few posts back?

I've been googling but come up with nothing.

www.s-v-c.co.uk seems like a good bet for either a full motor replacement or just a gear wheel and shaft but I see little point in replacing the shaft if the existing bearing it contacts is damaged.....

I think the bearing is a phosphor-bronze bush,if you measure the size then Fleabay/Amazon/Google it...

Just had a look in Gavs link and this.... ?11:00 including VAT

http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/product/wiper-mo ... h-and-pad/

seems the best route rather than messing about ?

But I'll still look for the brush/holder if you want me to...

Thanks John and Gav. So hold rooting in old tins for now. Will test the switch, see if it works. sVC do sell all the parts I need. I just need to check with a local auto electric firm called Osborne in Royton.

Bought brush Assy and switch from G. E. Middleton, City Road, Manchester for ?21.
Switch fits by clipping onto wiper body. Not in my case, looks like I have to drill and file body to attach clip.

That's great John, I will ring you after 9am to discuss. It saves me drilling and filing.
