At last my car is back from painters,great to start putting it back together, fabricated stainless strengthing plate for pedal box and handbrake lever picking up through front inner arch

The pedal box area stiffening plate is nicely done. I am OK with adding "unlightness" in this area where the safety factor in design is less than 1.0.

Right. And we see you've (presumably) cut a BIG opening in the top of the pedal box to facilitate re and re of master cylinders, etc. (judging by the full size cover plate).

I have certainly contemplated this, too.

What is the colour? Lotus, or . . . ?

Hi Randy I've not cut out any material out of the pedal box , just made a stainless cover ,the car colour is astonmartin almond green

Okay; no metal removed, just a cover. Do tell? I assumed it was a cover over an access hole.

The colour looks beautiful. Those Aston colours were very well developed, chosen, etc. (although I will say I was quite shocked to see a Vanquish or Vantage in Bahama Yellow - my car's colour and one I have always disliked )

Anyway, keep the updates coming. Very nice. Keeps me motivated, too

I also had a steel mounting plate made, but not as large as Shaun's. It was a big improvement to the stability of the pedal box. I also have a removable plate in the top. This was fitted previous to my ownership and is extremely useful for removing master cylinders.
