Any Plus 2 owners in WIsconsin/Chicago area?

I have an interesting challenge on my hands, as I work to return my recently purchased Plus 2 to something approaching stock configuration, after the previous owner decided to remove the dash and interior and redo it in his own custom style.

The problem is, all I have to use as a guide are pictures from books and internet. Many photos and discussions on this forum have been useful, but it would be wonderful to be able to see a more-or-less proper Plus 2 in person, examine all the nooks and crannies, and take a bunch of photos. It doesn't have to be a show car, just one that's mostly intact.

Are there any forum members located within a couple hours of Madison, Wisconsin?

I have been pretty silent on mine but still have a '73 Elan +2S convertible here in Appleton WI. Not driven a lot and I am getting ready to take if off the road for awhile for engine and paint work. You are welcome to come up and take a look anytime.

Here's one (maybe) right in your back yard! Last I knew Chris Beebe had a 1972 Elan + 2. He has a shop in Madison. I think its called Foreign Car Specialists. 608-255-7874

He's still in the area. I'll have to see if he has an Elan now. I know he had a (Super?) Seven last time I saw him.
