It's been a long time but finally got the two halves together,I think the suspension needs a little lowering !

Very nice, still really liking that colour.

I'd expect the suspension to settle quite a bit so wouldn't worry about it for now. Being a bit higher should make it a little easier to work on.

Looking good.
The ride height, especially at the front, will no doubt look too high even when the car is completed, mine certainly did. It settles down after a few runs.

Looking good. The car always looks high when the body first goes on. Its surprising how much weight the interior of the car, carpets, glass, wiring etc etc contributes. Now is the the time to make sure the body sits right - check the dimensions match all round, especially side to side before you tap & bolt the body on.

This was the fit with mine straight after the lift onto the rolling chassis. It soon settled down, especially with adjustable springs.

Beautiful! I can only imagine how smashing the car will look once it's all together!

Your Plus 2 looks lovely! Normally I think Elite's are beautiful in any colour, however...orange??? Ouch!

Sorry, not my Elite.. My +2 now has more, errr ..... Patina, that's the word, after 6 years! A word to Shaun - it is well worth it, but the time after getting the body back on seems to drag on forever - It will be worth it!

Very nice :) i'm a fan of Green +2's (some how suits the shape more than most other colours)

Regarding the suspension. I found with mine when its been over extended for a while the struts tend to stick, i had all sorts of problems pushing my koni's fully in to adjust them before final assembly.

Shaun, that really is the most gorgeous colour I've ever seen on a +2. Its taking every ounce of strength in my body not to be a filthy copycat.

I will try and stick with lagoon blue (which is also very nice).

What size of metallic flake did you go for? Is it finer than the older paints? It looks fairly modern.

Thanks for the comments i was always concerned about painting a non lotus colour but after much head scratching I came upon this almond green ,it's ideal not having to much flake as I wanted to try to keep it in period of the late 60s and not to glitzy
