130/5 plus 2 found and bought

search is over!
Bought myself a pretty much untouched 73 year 130/5.
It's a none runner due to being sat a while but I'm told has good oil pressure under cranking.
Bodywork looked good although needs a respray.
Chassis (original I think) all looked good.
Few bits missing so I'll be putting a wanted list together when it arrives and getting it back to its best over the winter.
I know colour is not to everyone's liking but I think these type of cars can handle 'loud' colours!
Got to get my coach house cleared of junk now so I can bring it home and get started on it.
Looking forward to finding out all the joys and woes of owning a lotus!
I'll get some better pics up when it arrives.

Laurel Green is quite a rare colour, and I think it really suits the Plus 2. Great find.

That chap had a red one and a DHC. Out of interest, why did you choose the green one?

The dhc had gone and wasn't mad on the idea of a dhc.
The red one looked shiny from a distance but paint wasn't great up close.
Drivers seat was shot and few unsympathetic mods had been done.
Had a darker green one but was an older model and needs more work.

Good Luck with the recommissioning. Do you plan a running restoration?
My (very) shortlist has a 130/5 on its original chassis and paint, there cannot be many left.
Many moons ago I lived near Port Sunlight on the Wirral, I haven't been back in many decades. Is it still as
"other worldly" as I remember it? Travel under a bridge (?) and all was calm and open.

First registered in Leicester on 19 Apr 73, so probably came from Roger Clark Garage in Narborough.
As Mark says, a very rare colour, Laurel Green had no Lotus code. Be interesting to see what, if anything, is scribed in the paint code box on the VIN plate.

Yes PS is still a lovely little conservation village.
I will be working on it until spring so might be fully done by then. Will be making an essential list and desirable list and go from there.
Tim
It has got the original Roger Clark service book apparently.
Had a look at Vin plate for colour but thought it was just me not finding it so might not be engraved as you say
