Just seen this article, apologies if already posted, just thought it was nice to see Graham Hill stood next to 'his' +2.

Eagle eyed may even be able to make out the registration. RAH 400F ?

I always think they look great in white.

What a great photograph; I've never seen that before.

Thanks for putting it up here.

Even as I type, I am sure someone is on the DVLA website, checking if GH's car is still around. And if it is, that photo has just added thousands to the value of the car.

My mate used to service GH,s and Lotus' planes at Panshanger. Sadly no longer with us............my mate and Panshanger.

Great programme about Graham Hill on BBC2 last night, watch out for the repeat.

Fantastic!

One of the guys who used to post on here claims to have his 'baby' Elan with all the provenance. I've seen it in un restored condition. Good to know he had a +2 as well.

This is a coincidence as I watched the excellent documentary on Hill last night. He seemed to be a brilliant father as well and just an all round great bloke. No more folk like that in our homogenised, PC world sadly

A Great Discover.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I remember having seen that very silver Elan in a old Team Lotus film (Youtube)
The documentary only shows the car during a few seconds ,but I remember Graham stood by the car or was inside it....
Let?s see if more info aroses....I am intrigued wich kind of wheels did it carry, just because I have several 1/43 Oxford Lotus Elan and I would like to ha this one....by the way...thanks to this very forum I was able to complete an 1/43 Elan S4 that Colin Chapman presented to Jochen Rindt at its day

Great photo.Just a stupid question, but was the photo a publicity photo to promote the plus2 or a photo taken with his actual car. Would it need more provenance to be sure it was his actual car?I am not trying to cast doubt,i would like to know from you guys who have a lot more expierience than me,if a photo is enough provenance or does it take more?eg did Lotus register the cars to their drivers in the drivers name or under the factory?sorry if dumb question
regards
Paul

Paul,
I was thinking exactly that. Promo shoot or did he own it? Yes, the car appears to be silver not white.

That was the repeat, the Original was late last year, but you can be certain it will be on many more times as, like every other programme, it will be regurgitated ad nauseam on every single pay to view channel until the end of time !!
