I have just moved to north yorks and brought my spyderised plus 2 with me.. I'm definately up for a jolly round the moors!!

I'm in South Yorkshire. Hoping to get up to Harewood Hill Climb at the weekend.

Well, damn, I'm in Ilkley, but not with the right car. I hope I see you chaps out there though!

Does it really need to be a +2? I am in North Leeds always ready for a drive out in the Lotus especially if there's a pint involved but I don't have the right car

Right car??? So many straight lines, so little time.

Any Lotus will do.

A 30-40 mile run out, maybe longer along butter tubs, Stanhope ford, the tan hill pub for a pint etc.

3-4 weeks from now?

Well I live in Ikley, which is about as Yorkshire as you can get! Just below the moor.

Quick question; where do you get your car MOT'ed. Know any lotus friendly MOT inspectors in the area?

Graham Spink is always sympathetic to classic cars and has MOT'd everything from Elans to AC Aces for my father in law and me. He goes by Ilkley MOT and Service Station. I haven't used him in a few years though.

I imagine Lessian would be decent too. They've done a few smaller jobs for me over the years and I've always been happy, but my FIL had a couple of bad experiences with his Elan there.

I discovered a really good classic mechanic (and really good with Elans) in Morley who are doing my clutch at the moment, and noticed they have an MOT place next door. I'll see if they are friendly.

Hi. I have an elan +2 of my own and I am about to start a restoration of a customers elan +2.

I was thinking Skipton/Gargrave/Grassington area, with the odd pint at The Tempest in Elslack or anywhere else people know about.

Early one Saturday or Sunday morning - say meet around 8 or 9 in Ilkley or Skipton?
