Plus 2 windscreen and insurers

Hi all,
I am in the UK.
I have my insurance due. I would like windscreen cover with the insurance.
I have had problems in the past with Autoglass taking six attempts to actually get the windscreen to fit correctly. (without it leaking or breaking).
I therefore am reluctant to obtain any insurance from anyone who says that Autoglass is the preferred fitter.
I can understand the reasons behind this for a modern car, they are local to almost everyone.
But when it comes to a Classic like our Elans? I would expect a so called classic car insurance company to be sympathetic to a 40-50 odd year old car.
Anyone out there managed to find any insurer that will let you use a windscreen company who knows what they are doing?
If you have could you let me know who they are please?
Kind regards

A few years ago I needed a new windscreen following a stone chip that would have failed the MOT. The car was with Miles Wilkins for servicing & I got him to change it at the time.. That part of the bill was covered by insurance and I was with either Norton or Footman James.
