It lives!

Hello all,

Well after almost exactly a year of ownership my +2 is on the road. It's first trip was next door to the mother-in-laws where there was a small family gathering. My 93 year old grandmother-in-law took one look at it and said "it looks very nice"! The nephews and nieces declared it to be cool and wished they could be dropped off to school in it.

My heavily pregnant (with twins!) wife sat in it today and said that it wasn't her cup of tea but conceded that the seat was very comfy. Trying to get her out was abit comical so I don't think I shall be taking her to the maternity hospital in it when the time comes.

Thanks to the information in this site and various spares from fellow members the car is on the road for the last few days of this exceptional summer.

Thank you!

Pete

Nice. Looks very similar to Bernie's (used to be on here) old car.

DVLA says Bernie's is still taxed so you may bump into it one day.

Lovin' the colour too, and such classic lines, I'm reminded again. Perhaps one of the most beautiful sports car designs of all time?

Thanks lads for the kind words! After being stuck in the garage over the last year I had forgotten how good the +2 can look from a distance. The paint job and the interior headlining will be next years project. At some time in the past the headlining was painted black and has become quite brittle. That is if I still have it next year!

Cheers,

Pete
