Another +2 back on the road

It has been off the road for 8 years and It has taken me three years to restore, but finally it was ready for an MOT and passed first time last week.
Still have a bit of snagging to do on some areas but i'm pleased with the result so far.
Many thanks to the people who have given me advise over the past three years on my many elan+2 related issues.
I must admit i haven't stopped smiling since i've been driving it around and has been well worth the wait.
Still running in the freshly rebuilt engine so i haven't pushed it past 3000 rpm thus far.
Rubbish Rotor arm problem cured after much cursing and buying a decent arm, cap and leads set.
Happy motoring

What did you use for windshield trim on the outside? Looks very minimal and fits the car well.
Thanks,
Briggs
After taking the windscreen out for painting (the old seals were bodged in) i found out that it should have had the chrome surround which i could not source anywhere. So rather than waiting for the chrome trim and seal to came along, i spoke to a windscreen fitter (friend of the family) who had a very small profiled rubber seal which bonded in place perfectly and made the windscreen a flush fit. The intention is to possibly take it out again when i have the right surround....
I will ask if he remembers what was used exactly.
Regards
Lee

It was a great feeling, even though i was nervous taking to the MOT station, fear of it not making it there.........but all was super in the end.
How far are you away from completion do you think?

Great colour and great looking car. I haven't stopped smiling and mines been back on the road for over a year .
Enjoy and don't worrying too much about the snagging - still doing bits to mine - spend too much time driving it and don't get round to them
Hopefully see you at a car show or on a road in Kent.
Well done, lovely car - get out and drive it
Regards, Tony

Great looking car Lee. Really like the colour combo. Enjoy! Only way to get the 'punch list' done is to use it.

Beautifully done!
I'm just starting a +2S, and it's missing a lot, so I'd love some more pictures. My interior is black vinyl -- what is the material used in yours?
Regards,
Mike
