Trouble with Burton modular assembly

Hi, firstly many thanks for the advice previously given, it was a great help to me during disasembly of my TC. Having taken delivery of my shiny (and expensive!) Burton modular water pump assemby I've been stopped dead in my tracks by an annoyingly simple issue, the supplied 'O' ring that seals between front cover and backplate around the water pump aperture is too large in circumference (about 15~20mm) when pushed home into the recess, I phoned Burton who dispatched a new one but again, too large. Has anyone had a similar problem?, did you find a correct size to fit?, many thanks in advance,
Rob.

O-rings come in standard sizes and can be sourced through industrial bearing supply outlets. I normally get what I need from the local SKF bearing supplier who carries a large stock of the common sizes used and that is where i have sourced the water pump O-rings for the standard assembly in the past.

I you dont have an acceptable O-ring for them to check its size from take the assembly and they should be able to ID the O-ring it needs.

In reality Burton should be able to supply the right O-rings. I am not sure about the detail of the Burton kit but most of these kits have a new O-ring that seals the front cover to the face of the module that is larger in circumference by about the amount you describe than the standard 2 O-rings the fit over the body of the water pump module that inserts into the backplate and block and seals at those points. Make sure you are not mixing up the 2 O- rings
