Duke, how did the MOT go?

Great to see the finished photo, how long did the project take?

Please post more details and photos as I am also into a complete nuts and bolts restoration and in need of some mental stimulus, flagging trying to strip the varnish off the dash. :(
Finished the rolling chassis over 2 years ago, now well into the body, but now wish I had started the body first.

The bracket under the grill is there to quickly attach the legal number plate if the other set up doesn't satisfy the tester, more pictures at a later date when time allows, it is Bitter Green although the photo shows it a lot lighter than it is. Must try harder with my photographic skills!

Hurrah, Duke!

Looking forward to more info and pix (I'm interested in the time you took to complete and whether Bitter Green is the original colour).

To all the people that need an injection of enthuiasm, here's some more photos. To answer a few of the questions:- The rebuild has taken me 3 years working mainly summer months to complete, I had the help of my brother to drop the body on, other than that I've been doing it on my own including the paint job which was completed previously to this last rebuild. The M.O.T tester was not impressed with the registration plate so I had 2 proper ones made but haven't got around to fitting them
I'm busy clocking up a few miles to iron out bugs, nothing serious has surfaced yet apart from a noisy tappet :(
Enjoy the photographs. (The fuel cap was left open to fill up with genuine Lotus factory air) or may be I didn't spot it was open!
More time needed on photographic skills again!

The suppression plate was a one off, knocked up in a lunchtime by an employee of the once famous local manufacturer of electromotors called Laurence Scott. It was typical of the quality of name plates affixed to large motors etc made by LSE, famous for products aboard the ill fated Titanic and more recently the UK side of the Channel Tunnel boring machine.
Oh how I wish those companies/employees still existed.

Duke, great work what an outstanding achievement, well done.

Just the photos I could have wished for.
Recently fitted all parts in engine bay and now working on the dash.
Following your photos I can go forward with renewed enthusiasm. :D
