Salut
Should have asked this question before - anyone know EIA 772 or have info, please?
I know it was sold to Malcolm Templeton Ltd., Co.Antrim in Northern Ireland 28/04/1971. It left the factory as a +2S/130 - an early model with a +2S dash. I don't know if M. Templeton bought the car for himself or to sell - he was the Lotus dealer for the area.
What happened during ten years is unknown. It returned to the UK in August 1981 to an unknown keeper, was bought by a Gary Lodge, Liverpool in 1987 and finally Robert Smith in 2010.
Paul Matty sold the car to me a few weeks ago. He told me that it had been converted by the guy who did all the conversions for Christopher Neil and that this was his personal car. I can only assume that means Gary Lodge.
Merci.

If you let me know the VIN I'll try to be helpful. Malcolm was a very long-standing Lotus dealer, in fact I believe he was one of the first. He used to race a Lotus Eleven, if I remember rightly.

Sorry I have nothing on that VIN in my records. I can say that it left the production line in August 1971 though.

Thanks for looking, Tim. It actually left the factory 28/04/1971 - I would like to know what happened to it after.

Please let me know how you have that date, as I have records of cars near to your VIN, all of which left production in August.

Hi Tim
Andy Graham, Lotus archives. Do you want/need a scan of the letter?
